Problem: Industrial control systems are vulnerable to cyber attacks that manipulate sensor data, causing operators to miss critical events like tank overflows or equipment failures. Traditional alarms only trigger on threshold violations, missing sophisticated attacks that disable sensors or spoof readings.
Solution: AI continuously monitors sensor relationships (e.g., high sensor should activate when level ≥90%). When inconsistencies are detected, the system escalates through HMI alerts → maintenance notifications → supervisor phone calls.
Business Value: Prevents costly spills, equipment damage, and safety incidents. Industrial anomaly detection is a growing market as OT security becomes critical infrastructure. Reduces unplanned downtime by catching failures before they cascade.
